This is an optional product to the American Express card. It sounds good in theory, but they get you with the fine print. It promises to reimburse you for flight cancellation or delay. However, they will only cover you if you meet the following qualification, down in the fine print:
"You must be at an airport away from your place of Permanent Residence to be eligible". They only pay for hotel accomodations at the airport. In other words, if your flight is cancelled and you stay at a downtown hotel, it doesn't work. If you rent a car and drive home (which is what I did on Sept 11, 2001), it doesn't work. Many airports don't even have hotels.
